Jack and Jill

We have 120 members aged up to 3 years, meeting with their parents or carers in two groups. Each week we have a craft or play activity such as play dough, sand play, painting or sticking and we try to incorporate seasonal or festive themes.

We have a large number of toys ranging from a playhouse to shape sorters, sit-and-ride toys to duplo building bricks. We also have a safe area set out for babies. During the gathering, we have a singing session and provide juice and biscuits for the children and a hot drink and biscuit for the carers.

On some weeks we invite individuals to display and sell goods such as books, gift-wrap and cards, and twice a year a local photographer visits the group.

Each year we have several short church services at the start of our morning session. We also have a Christmas party, summer outings and we organise group bookings to the theatre. We organise fund-raising events, for the groups and for local and children's charities, as well as joining in local events such as Ickenham Festival.
